Why did you choose Bornhoffen?
Dom worked for PCYC for almost 10 years, and in that time led a lot of youth leadership camps at Bornhoffen. She and a lot of people close to her have very strong feelings about the place! Moreover, it is a beautiful site with lots of different options for an event like this, like a basketball court, swimming pool, waterfall and creek; and activities we can arrange with their facilitators like abseiling, hiking, high and low ropes courses and a giant swing. The place isn't fancy, but it sure is fun, peaceful, and charming.

What are our options with accommodation?
PCYC Bornhoffen has two sets of cabin accommodation. One we'll be using for families (8 to 12 per cabin, more of a dormitory style - WAGAWN), and one for parties without children (6 to 8 per cabin, more separate from each other, HOBWEE). We've booked out the entire location, so you are able to stay in the cabins. If you're a small party you'll likely be sharing a cabin with another small party. We'll do some matchmaking and make sure you're either with people you know or people we know you'll like. The cabins are powered, but a hot tip would be to bring a power board along! Both Wagawn and Hobwee's cabins are accessible.
If that doesn't sound appealing, or you and your party would like a bit more privacy, you could also bring along your tents and camp out in one of two locations around the grounds - again, divided into families and parties without children. They don't usually allow camping on these beautifully manicured grounds, so this is a tents-only situation, not a van life situation. You could park a campervan in the parking lot, but we won't be driving vehicles all over the grass. Chat to us for more details.
If you're feeling both fancy and rich, we can book you a glamping tent where the company will provide you with a fully furnished bell tent all set up for you, but we'll have to ask you to cover the cost. Lots of options are available, and we'll talk you through them if that's your preferred choice. At the moment we're looking at Glamparoo if you'd like to see an example, but we're talking to a few companies. In the end, the more people who want to book glamping tents, the lower the price will be - if this is your choice, we'll keep you posted.
If you're feeling even fancier than that, by all means please book your own accommodation somewhere nearby - there's lots of choices up and down the mountains.
Let us know your choices when you RSVP.
